A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written medical thriller book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great medical thriller movie, or better yet a mini TV. A very easy rating of 5 stars.

HIDDEN DOORS SECRET ROOMS eBook Jamie Eubanks Reviews

This book offers an amazing story line that held my interest, in fact there were nights I didn't want to put it down. It is a suspense/thriller with a underlying love story. From the first chapter until the last page, this book will keep you intrigued and the shocking ending was an added bonus. Would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys suspenseful books that keep you guessing till the end! Great job Jamie Eubanks, keep them coming! You definitely have someone who will continue to read your amazing books!
What I liked best about this book was its manner of storytelling. At no point is the reader hit over the head with clunky exposition. The story (and the characters) unfolds in its own time. I liked the plot, the characters, and the paranormal elements. I gave it 4 stars vs. 5 because, as much as I enjoyed the book, it felt like it had potential to go even further. A longer, more fleshed out version of this book, perhaps with more back story, more character development, and deeper internal conflict would have engaged me even further. Don't get me wrong, I liked what was written, in fact, so much so that I wanted more. SPOILER ALERT Exploring the turmoil and the question of existence from Andrews would have been compelling. I was aching for a confrontation between Andrews and his god (or even John, for that matter). It seems the other FBI agents would have been struggling with their lack of memories as well, leading, perhaps, to questioning what their mission was really all about or whether they should continue? John wrestling with guilt over falling in love again, not only with Jillian, but with Valerie too, while still living his life mourning his wife and son could have been interesting. Learning more about Jillian's origin story and what she went through after undergoing her transformation would have been satisfying and could have added more dimension to her character. Learning more about the relationship of the monster to Jillian; how Valerie stumbled on singing to help with the monster (and why it works?); and finding out if Jillian's brother really is dead, would have been very satisfying. The ending, from the hospital on, seemed rushed. However, despite all of the above, I enjoyed reading Hidden Doors, Secret Rooms and would recommend it more for the quick read than for the Stephen King or Robert McCammon-esque experience I wanted it to be.
Hidden Doors, Secret Rooms by Jamie Eubanks
This is an exciting novel. I suppose the genre is paranormal adventure which I do not normally like. But I like this one a lot.
What I Liked
Nearly everything, to be brief. The characters were all vivid.
I really felt that I knew John and Jillian, and the the little girl, Valerie. Mel Talbot was also a memorable character. The plot was excellent in that it kept me hooked, turning the pages to see what happened next. I was prepared to be disappointed in the conclusion. I often am. But his novel also had a fitting ending.
What I Did Not Like
I groaned when I saw a typo on the first page "due" instead of "do." But the editing ,overall ,was very good. There were some "F" words; too many for my taste.
The bad guys were cardboard characters, without depth. But that actually fit the plot. Some sex scenes are shown, but they were tastefully done. There was not much that I did not like, truth be told.
Conclusion This is a worthy novel that I recommend.
